Who we are

This website is run by REC for Marketing and PR, a Sole Establishment registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect

  • Your first name and email address, which you give us on the opt-in form for the Dubai Investment Readiness Test.
  • Your answers to the Test. The Test asks 16 questions about your investment situation: your capital, your time horizon, your risk tolerance, how hands-on you want to be, and how clear your investment rules are.
  • Standard website and analytics data.

Why we collect it

  • To produce and deliver your Test result.
  • To give you access to the private workshop that follows the Test.
  • To send you occasional follow-up about investing in Dubai property.

Our legal basis

We rely on your consent, which you give when you submit the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time, either by unsubscribing from any email we send you, or by writing to hello@realestatecoupledubai.com.

Who else handles your data

We use a small number of service providers to run the Test and to follow up with you. They process your data on our behalf:

  • ScoreApp — hosts the Test and stores your responses. The Test runs on a scoreapp.com subdomain.
  • Our CRM system — holds your contact details so we can follow up.
  • Email and WhatsApp messaging tools — used to send you your result and any follow-up.

Where your data is stored

Many of the people who take our Test live in the European Union or the United Kingdom. Your data is transferred to and stored in the United Arab Emirates.

The UAE has not received an adequacy decision from the United Kingdom or the European Union. In plain terms: the UK and the EU have not formally confirmed that the UAE gives your data the same level of legal protection you would get at home.

By submitting the form, you consent to your data being transferred to and stored in the UAE.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you remain one of our contacts. If we have had no contact with you for 24 months, we delete it. We also delete it sooner if you ask us to, or if you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correct it if it is wrong.
  • Delete it.
  • Send it to you in a portable form.
  • Stop processing it, if you object to how we are using it.
  • Treat your consent as withdrawn.

This website and the Test use cookies that are necessary to make them work and to measure how much traffic we get.
